I had big, big dreams!

When I was little I wanted nothing more then to be a truck driver.

Yeeeeeup, I wanted to drive a big rig all across the country. Living out of my truck and seeing the world! Well maybe not the world but a large chunk of Canada anyhow. However, that wasn't the end of my dream. Oh no! I not only wanted to drive truck but I wanted to own my own trucking business! That's right! My dad even had a special hat made for me one Christmas. It had a purple semi on it with "JB Trucking" scrawled across it.

The dream even went so far that I wrote songs about it...I will share one of those with you now!

The 12 Days of Truckin' Christmas

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me
a new wide load semi

there was a time...

...when I was a child. I know I was. I just can't remember very much of those years...I should work on that maybe.

On March 5, 2007...

I had forgotton about Myspace for a while. I went onto mine just tonight after many moons of not being on it and I read this blog entry I had put in. Enjoy a day in the history of my life!

today I...

...Used my new face wash I bought at walmart
...put on makeup for once in my life
...shoveled the sidewalks at the bank
...recieved a compliment from the newly elected number one counsellor on the reserve
...saw Tim Tams on special in the Extra Foods flyer (only $1.99 a package!)
...had an older man say to me, "I better go to the little boys room before I leave!"
...think someone called me a b**** after I served them even though I was polite and kind
...did the floors at work by myself, again.
...ate beef noodle soup for the first time ever
...had to run after a guy who forgot to pay for his sandwhich
...poured half a can of Pepsi down the sink and was sad
...discovered I am on at the cafe every day next week
...wished I had a different job
...saw sadness in someones eyes
...missed David Melby
...googled information on Bed Bugs just for kicks
...wished I could be a better person for GOD
...watched Corner Gas with my mum
...wondered what September holds for me
...wished there was someone to hold my hand
...wished Janelle would come on msn so I could talk to her and then she did!
...showed my dad my new camera

It was a day...nothing out of the ordinary or spectacular, just a typical day.

The moldy muffin day

One day I was babysitting for a lady I am good friends with. I went to her house nice and early in the morning because she had to leave for work by 8:00am. As I was waiting for the little tyke I was to care for to wake up I felt a certain rumbling behind my belly button. Sure enough, I was hungry! So I rummaged through the fridge and the cupboards until I came upon some muffins. Oh how scrumptious they looked! I pulled one out and took a medium sized bite outta it. As I was chewing I thought to myself, "Man, this muffin sure tastes funny...maybe it has extra fiber in it" I took another bite. The self talk continued, "No it can't be fiber, what is that funky taste?" I had only to look down at the now significantly smaller muffin in my mind to find the funky taste culprit. Mold!!!
Realizing that I had already consumed some of the nasty mold my stomach started to churn. I hoped to high heaven it would all come back up. Alas it did not, I digested that mold.
The moral of my story is, make sure you look before you bite.

just a random memory...

It was the end of second year (at Millar College of the Bible) and finals were finally over. Stress was melting away and the time to go home and leave friends was drawing near. Amy, Tyler, Nathan, Andy, Anthony and myself decided to celebrate the end of finals by aquiring late leave and going on a donut run. So the six of us piled into my five passenger car. Nathan, one of the tallest boys I know, decided that he was going to sit in the middle between Amy and I in the front of the car. I tried to convince him otherwise saying that he wouldn't fit and would be all cramped up ater the 45 minute drive. But he would not be convinced otherwise, he was bound and determined to sit in the front. So off we went, Nathan all bent over inbetween Amy and I.

We arrived at Tim Horton's, ordered and sat around eating, talking and laughing. David was working at Tim Horton's that year so Andy went up and was conversing with him. The thing is though, he wouldn't leave once we were ready! You see we had big plans to now go to Dairy Queen and get some ice-cream! Andy refused to listen to reason and remained in Tim Horton's talking to David. Finally the rest of us simply went out to the car thinking that he would of course follow us. He didn't. So what do we decide to do? What else then go through the drive through?! When we got to the order speaker I promtly ordered, "One Andy Rapko to go please!" Next thing I hear is Andy talking over the Tim Horton's Drive through telling us he will be out in a minute. On the drive home I convinced Nathan that he should drive and let me sit in the middle this time. He happily agreed to that! Little did the three of us in the front know just what was going on in the backseat...

Andy and Anthony had decided that they were too hot and had long since shed their jackets. The next thing they decided to shed was their shirts. Tyler was unaware as he was looking out the window. But apparently he looked over to find two bare chested men sitting beside him. Appaled he hissed, "what are you guys doing?" They shushed him and continued sitting in their shirtless glory. Nathan for some reason turned on the intirior light and I glanced into the backseat to find Andy and Anthony without shirts on, in MY car! I promptly shrieked! Amy turned around to see what was going on and promtly yelled at those two guys who had the audacity to take their shirts off around us! There was a huge kirfuffle as the guys tried to convince us that they had been too hot so of course they had to take off their shirts. At this point Tyler (one of the most polite, calm people you could meet) yelled at the top of his lungs, "How can you be too hot? I have my jacket on and I am not boiling!" Thus Nathan blasted cold air until Andy and Anthony put their shirts back on!

What fun we had at Millar, laughing and joking together!
